Hollyhock Font Family

Meet Hollyhock, a modern and messy calligraphy font with wild, tall letterforms that refuse to be tamed. Inspired by calligraphy the breaks the rules and hollyhocks that grow rebelliously where they please. This font includes two full sets of capital letters… a set that is tall, energetic, and wild as well as a set a bit more tame and subdued. Open type features in this font include contextual alternates, fractions, ordinals, discretionary ligatures, and swashes. Use contextual alternates to add subtle swashes to the beginnings and ends of your letters. Use your open type swashes panel to use the many and various doodles, swirls, and swashes to manually add flare and flavor to your text. Or, install the separate Hollyhock Ornaments font to access the swashes and doodles more easily. Most Diacritics included for various language support. Message me if there's one you're not sure is included. This font works best in OpenType aware software (ie. Adobe Applications) so that you can take advantage of its many features. Comes as two .otf (OpenType font) files.

I'm just completely in love with all hand-lettered artwork at the moment...I could stare at all of it for hours on end...particularly typographical quote posters...and wedding invites....and custom address stamps ...I couldn't take it any longer and just had to make something reflective of all of the beautiful custom hand lettered creations out there...so I whipped out my pens :) Every stroke is made with love and attention...the same love and attention any doting illustrator gives to any unique art piece....The idea is to give you something you can use quickly, to make it look like you toiled over your custom type artwork for hours :) I hope it helps you as much as its intended to!

A new look to classic shapes, bringing them back plenty of delightfullly details as the lowercase cursive forms’ long tiles that break the supposed linearity expected from a purely geometrical font. Rhythm given by hidden details in each character of each weight, push “Naste” out of German geometric sobriety, will help us to easily create typographic hierarchies upon the many weights available and the many and accurate details. Excellent results with minimal effort. Wide ‘x’ height, restrained ascending and descending stems; thick but elegant, easy to read and in need of generous white space around, where it feels comfortable. More is better than less. Prismatic is an 11 font system that can be layered in different ways to create a number of classic titling effects used commonly in signage by skilled sign painters and sign makers. Prismatic’s layer combinations give you complete control in producing styles like inline, outline, collegiate, drop shadow, 3D, convex, beveled, and detached shadow. It’s condensed base can be used alone and/or allows you to plot out titles and adjust leading, kerning, and alternates. Each font contains the same metrics, so when your title is set, copy and paste-in-place to create layers of different weights/styles to build out your desired effect. Some fonts are clearly dependent on layer stacks to create desired effects, which is why certain fonts in this family are not available for individual sale. Prismatic works great in any graphics application that allows you to utilize layers. Sign shops take note: this font system allows you to create rich sign lettering effects for vinyl cut signs without editing the font itself.
